Graduation

Twelve graduation tickets will be issued per family. Tickets will be taken at the gate as you enter the stadium. Please have these in hand as you arrive. Six of the twelve tickets will be color-coded/marked as "Rain Tickets". In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to Bryant Bank Arena (HTHS Arena Gym) and each family will have six total "Rain Tickets".

Tickets will be distributed at graduation practice. Graduation practice will take place at 6:00 p.m. at Husky Stadium on May 18, 2026. Attendance at graduation practice is a requirement for all  graduates. 

The graduation ceremony will be livestreamed by Trussville Tribune at (LINK Coming soon) and Trussville Tribune's Facebook page. The ceremony will also be livestreamed at the Trussville Entertainment District on the large screen. 

Yes! 

Yes! Graduates should gather at the HTHS Athletics Covered Pavilion for practice before 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Practice will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. so please arrive early! There is no dress code for practice. 

Practice will be under an hour and graduates will receive their graduation tickets and a sweet treat at the end of practice. 

Attending graduation practice IS REQUIRED for all graduates! All graduates should arrange work and personal schedules so that they can attend. 

Graduates may use personal devices to take photos before lining up under the pavilion. Once graduates line up, all cell phones will be put away. There will be no personal devices allowed to be visible during the ceremony. This is a formal ceremony and graduates are expected to give attention to all speakers. 

Yes!

There is a required dress code for all graduates. This is a formal event, so adherence to the dress code is expected. 

Guys

• Collared dress shirt with tie that coordinates with the red robe (White shirt/dark colored tie is suggested) 
• Dress pants (no denim) 
• Neutral colored dress shoes or loafers - no sneakers or open-toed shoes

Girls

• Dress should not show below the gown
• White dresses are not mandatory
• Wear comfortable dressy shoes that are neutral in color

Other Dress Code Items

• No decorations or additions to the graduation cap - you must wear the cap and tassel only
• There will be nothing allowed to be added to the gown/stole other than approved honor cords
• GOWNS MUST BE ZIPPED COMPLETELY DURING THE CEREMONY

Please let Mrs. Stalls (senior counselor) or Ms. Rasberry (senior administrator) know if you are unable to purchase or borrow a tie or any other item required by the dress code. 

The stadium gates will open at 6:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. graduation ceremony. Everyone will be required to present their ticket upon entry. There will be no "will call" booth available. Ticket takers will not be able to hold tickets if your friends/family members are arriving at a later time. 

We highly recommend that graduates be dropped off at the covered pavilion located across Husky Parkway from the stadium. Students should arrive to the pavilion no later than 5:30 p.m. 

Field House parking is reserved for TCS Employees and guests with a visible handicap placard.

Graduate and guest parking will be at the stadium, the Trussville Civic Center, and the large high school lots. There will be a shuttle bus from the high school to the stadium. 

Important Note: Husky Parkway will close to through traffic at the stadium at 6:30 p.m. to allow graduates to walk safely from the covered pavilion to the stadium. The road will remain closed until the ceremony concludes.

Guests arriving after 6:30 p.m. should plan to park at HTHS. The stadium/civic center parking lot is expected to be full by that time, so entering Husky Parkway from Deerfoot Parkway and parking at the high school is recommended.

Yes, wheelchair access and handicap seating will be available. Either entrance (home or visitor side) may be used. Guests must provide their own wheelchairs and assistance. Stadium ushers will be present to guide handicap guests to reserved handicap seating, which will be located on the bottom row on both sides of the stadium. 

Yes! After the ceremony, families are welcome to join their graduates on the field for photographs. 

If the threat of incoming inclement weather requires that the ceremony be moved indoors, graduation will be held in the Bryant Bank Arena (HTHS Arena Gym). Note that each graduate will have only six (not twelve) "Rain Tickets" that may be used for guests if the event is moved indoors. Family members and friends without a rain ticket will be able to watch the livestream provided by Trussville Tribune. 

To celebrate our graduates, the event will end with a vibrant colored light show in the stadium! If you are sensitive to changing or flashing lights, please be aware and plan accordingly as the ceremony draws to a close.

Students are given a diploma cover on stage (empty). Following the graduation ceremony, students will proceed to the Husky Parkway end zone, where staff members will distribute each student's actual diploma envelopes, which contain not only the official diploma, but also important information about final transcripts, dual enrollment credits, etc. 

Graduates may come to the HTHS Counseling office beginning the morning after graduation. No appointment is necessary, but you may call ahead at 205-228-4026. 

Yes, programs are provided at the ceremony. Also, each graduate will be given a keepsake program that will be a part of their diploma packet.
