Theater
The Hewitt-Trussville High School Theatre program is dedicated to producing high-quality, memorable performances that showcase the talent and creativity of our students. Most recently, our program earned recognition for staging the state premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition, setting a new standard for excellence in student theatre.
The program is led by Charlotte Clare Norris, and offers a range of engaging courses that help students grow both as performers and as individuals. Coursework includes:
- Acting Techniques – building a strong foundation in performance skills.
- Theatre I & II – introducing and deepening students’ knowledge of stagecraft, character work, and storytelling.
- Musical Theatre – focusing on the integration of singing, acting, and movement, culminating in a cumulative musical revue each year.
2025–2026 Season
- Fall Play: Little Women
- Spring Musical: Hadestown: High School Edition
In addition to our mainstage productions, our students actively participate in the Trumbauer Theatre Festival and contribute to a vibrant International Thespian Troupe, further expanding their artistic experiences and sense of community.
At Hewitt-Trussville Theatre, we believe in creating an environment where students can develop their craft, challenge themselves, and share their passion for storytelling with the school and community
