Visual Arts at Hewitt-Trussville High School

The Hewitt-Trussville High School Visual Arts Program provides students with a creative and rigorous arts education. Our program offers a wide range of courses, including Art I, Art II, Digital Photography, Ceramics, Advanced Ceramics, Introduction to 2D Design, and Introduction to 3D Design.

For students seeking college credit opportunities, we offer all three AP Art and Design portfolios—AP Drawing, AP 2D Design, and AP 3D Design—allowing participants to refine their skills, build strong portfolios, and pursue their artistic passions at an advanced level.

Hewitt-Trussville High School also offers a National Art Honor Society chapter, giving members the chance to participate in creative service projects that use the visual arts to enrich our school and community.

Students grow as confident, creative artists through hands-on studio experiences that expand their skills and spark imagination. Our annual end-of-year art show is a highlight of the program, providing a special opportunity to share and celebrate the wide range of student talent with the entire community. Whether preparing for advanced study in the arts or cultivating a lifelong love of creativity, our program supports and inspires every student along the way.
