Welcome to the Hewitt-Trussville High School Library!

The Hewitt-Trussville High School Library serves as a vibrant hub for student learning, exploration, and growth. Our library is committed to helping students become confident, independent learners who are equipped for success beyond high school.

We work with teachers to support instruction and strengthen students’ research and information literacy skills. Our library also offers a welcoming environment where students can relax, read, study, or simply take a break during a busy day.

It’s a valuable resource for students exploring economics, government, and real-world applications of classroom topics, while also helping them stay informed and think critically about the world around them. Library Staff

Ms. Massey, Media Specialist

My name is Laura Graves Massey and I'm your school librarian! I've been the librarian at HTHS since 2014 and I really love it! I love working with students on building research and information skills. I also enjoy talking with students about books, music, and games. I host a D&D club in the library on Wednesdays after school.

Ms. Hogan, Library Assistant

Ms. Hogan helps out with supervision, library management and scheduling, getting books ready to go on the shelf, lots of other things! She loves to read and spend time with her children.

Library & Tech Aides

Every year we have a group of 11th and 12th grade students who help us out with keeping the library organized, help students with printing or finding resources, and assist with managing Chromebooks.

Library Services

Circulation

Checkout Limits: All students may check out up to 5 books at a time.
Mature YA: Books marked as Mature YA will only be able to be checked out by students whose parents have indicated this is allowed at registration. Changes to this may only be made by a parent or guardian.
Loaner Chromebooks and chargers are available for check out when needed.
No overdue fines are charged.
Lost items must be paid for at the replacement cost.

Printing

Black and white pages are $0.10 per page.
Color pages are $0.25 per page.
We currently only take cash, but printing can be added as a fee on library accounts and paid later.
