About HTHS

Hewitt-Trussville High School (HTHS) is a four-year public high school serving more than 1,600 students in grades 9–12. Proudly recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, HTHS is located on a beautiful, wooded campus along the Cahaba River in northeast Jefferson County, Alabama. Trussville is part of the Birmingham Metropolitan Statistical Area, a vibrant and growing region home to more than 1.1 million residents.

Advanced Courses:
Pre-AP coursework is offered to students in grades 9-12 in English, social studies, mathematics, science, art, and world languages.

Dual Enrollment:
In partnership with Jefferson State Community College (JSCC), courses are offered in English, Psychology, Accounting, and Speech.

Certification Programs:
We offer two programs which provide skilled-trades training for students. These programs culminate in a certification test in order to pursue a career immediately after high school or further their college education in these areas.
